I've spent more than twenty-five years creating spaces where people can step out of the pace of ordinary life and into something more spacious, creative and alive.

I work with retreat leaders and hosts to bring meaningful programming into retreats here in Costa Rica—from writing and conversation to movement, wellness and creative workshops.

I can join you for a single session, create a series that unfolds across several days, or bring the complete arc of The Well into your retreat.

The work is shaped to complement what you are already creating: your people, your setting, the intention of the retreat, and the experience you want your guests to have.

 

THE WELL — RETREAT SERIES

Bring the complete arc of The Well into your retreat. Across six gatherings, I guide your group through Season, Body, Rhythm, Beauty, Voice and Thread using teaching, writing, conversation and practices that move with them into the rest of the retreat.

The series can be woven across a weeklong retreat, with one gathering each day, giving the experience a meaningful thread from arrival through closing.

WELLNESS + MOVEMENT

With more than two decades of experience in yoga, movement and women's wellness, I offer sessions designed to meet the particular energy of your retreat.

This might be a morning movement practice, an afternoon session centered around the body, a workshop exploring rest, vitality or embodiment, or a practice created specifically to complement the larger arc of your week.

ART + CREATIVE WORKSHOPS

Making something with our hands changes the quality of a room.

I offer relaxed, engaging creative workshops that give guests time to make, experiment, talk and enjoy being together. Workshops can stand alone as part of the retreat schedule or connect to a larger theme you're exploring throughout the week.

And importantly, I wouldn't make this page about “hire Angela because she's conveniently in Costa Rica.” Your location is an enormous commercial advantage—you can work with the steady stream of retreat leaders coming through the area without them flying in another facilitator—but your experience is what you're selling.

Then elsewhere on the site, we can make the practical/local advantage clear: based in Costa Rica and available for retreat facilitation throughout [your actual service area].
